Is there any way of running the 3.0beta in windowed mode? It would make my crashes a lot less fatal.

Scratch that. I found that using DLauncher.exe with Korax.dlo and Doomsday.wad worked fine. EDIT: In fact, now its in windows mode, it doesn't crash at all.. <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->
