You're awesome. How long have you been playing? Edit: you make funny faces as well I remember people laughing at my face when I played the... erm, redoblante (a sort of drum you hang on yourself, much like you'd hang a guitar) at primary school. Guess it's hard to focus on playing and keeping a straight face at the same time.

Metallica's new album is due this year. I listened to some live versions of the new songs, and I'm now expecting a huge step-up from the St. Garbage album. What I've heard sounds like 80s Metallica mixed with 90s Megadeth, at least that's I get off of it. And Rick Rubin is producing it! Metallica is in good hands with him. Hell, anybody who can make Slipknot not suck deserves credit.

However, I believe that Trujillo will be a good reinforcement, and about Rick Rubin... well, there isn't much to be said about the guy who produced Reign in Blood

Well, that out of the way, check out this band. They're Týr, a viking metal band from the Faroe Islands. And they're awesome.

Baratus: IMO both the studio lyrics and these alternate lyrics are equally good. Though I think the studio lyrics are more effective, since they're political they're a lot more relevant to the real world too. But it's cool to talk about Satan too. Count: This is definitely the first Viking Metal band not to piss me off.

I've listened to the first Sonata album, and I must say I like it. Besides that, there's the usual Stratovarius (I actually recently bought an Infinite T-Shirt) And about the War Pigs lyrics, I get the impression that the original lyrics might have been a bit too strong for their time. Not to mention that I have a hard time understanding them By the way, are those Metallica live versions the "New song" and the "other new song" or are there more?

Mars Volta are definitely my favourite new band right now (non-metal at least ). Christ they kick some serious ass.

Doesn't look too Judas Priest to me. Looks more like a grindcore album based on the bible to me. Or maybe an Ayreon story.

it's bad enough there are ANY metal albums about the bible... As for Ayreon, I once listened to one of their songs, and thought "you know, this singer sounds exactly like Mikael Akerfelt," then about 2 more minutes into the song I thought, "actually, no he sounds more like James LaBrie." Then I found out they both sing in the same song.

I can't really get into concept albums easily, since I tend to use the lyrics to help me position myself a lot, and it's very confusing when they are all about the same thing.

Long time no see. I keep in touch with Firebrand on Myspace, and he jokingly asked me to convert some of my solo tracks into MIDI for KA. But you know what, you're all awesome dudes, so you deserve the extra songs. I forgot how to upload onto the Internal Forum, so I'll send you the new songs the old-fashioned URL way. Try this link and see if it works: [url:2deo8wy2]http://www.freewebs.com/orchestratedchaos/Homage-Vultures.zip The songs are called Homage to Chuck and Vultures. Chuck would be none other than the late Chuck Schuldiner, and "vultures" is a bit of a metaphorical title about those who live off of keeping you miserable and sucking more and more from you (we all have people like that in our lives, sometimes we are those very people without knowing it). I gave you 3 versions: a long version, the 1st half of it, and the 2nd half, split. My life has been very dynamic right now, full of dramatic changes, lots of very good and lots of very bad. I feel like a different person, one who's self-made and can do anything. Food is sweeter, music is more moving, my body is more magical, the sun is warmer, the sky is more inspiring, and my friendships are more connected now. My life is destined for great things, and it's an awesome feeling that will never leave you once you find it. So, how have you guys been?

I am on a roll: just finished another song today, and I thought it be great for the RPG projects! It's called Fields. Makes for a good travelling song when you're on an automap, choosing the road to take. Short 'n sweet: [url:3hwv3yjh]http://www.freewebs.com/orchestratedchaos/Fields.mid And I just realized that you have to copy and paste the link into the navigation bar
