Well, it would mean some more work on doing the sprites for every "piece" of player, heh! but it would surely be interesting, heh!

Holly crap that ws disgusting, but nicely coded... I don't know if Hexen's engine has the Build's feature of tainting the walls... I think the exploion itself wouldn't be that hard graphicly wise, because the real work would be put on coding, as they would have to animate how the pieces will fly, how much blood, etc...

hehe yeah i coded it, pretty neat eh <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> the gibs used to gush ALOT more but that caused the engine to crash, and it's not even being it's bloodiest in this shot. itl'l be more bloodier once it's all clientside, that way all the droplets won't interfere with the server and it'll be fast.

To code the flying pieces it's not that difficult remember how the head used to "pop out" of the fighter, for example, or how the heretic has a bloody skull out of the gibbing death, it would just be a matter of drawing the gibs for every player class (or a general default gibs too) and make them "animate" <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) --> .

That's exactly what I was talking about - the body should pierce lithe same way the centaur's shield and sword flies as he is destroyed, or the arms of the serpents, etc... in a dynamic, real projectile way.

My gibs are only bone pieces (2 arms, 2 legs, a skull, ribcage and a heart) and they spawn blood gushes every 0.15 seconds. The blood is a 16x16 sprite with vp_oriented (can spin) and the gibs are 32x32 sprites also with vp_oriented. Vavoom just needs vp_oriented and oriented sprites somehow <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!-- s:P -->
