So Ichor, how is Fury coming along?

It's been a long while, and I want to know how it's coming. AFAIK, you got episode 1 done, correct? Are you still pouring your sweat and blood into that mod? It's one of the coolest Hexen things I've seen, next to KMOD of course, with all the new monsters and weapons and items and such.

I doesn't slow down on my computer, but then I have a rather fast one. The only thing left there is item placement and a bit of fine tuning. Also, it's a hub map, so most of the puzzle solving will be in the other maps.

When you say "Will", that means you have a way of charting out a blueprint of your maps before actually making them? I usually just try to wing it, maybe that's my problem sometimes. Seriously, that is one enormous map! And is that thing isolated out in the corner supposed to be a... boat, mayhaps? And the black space around it is water? It's a huge leap for me to make just by looking at it, but if my guess is right that would be some fantastic feature to move around to different island levels on a boat.

Yeah, that's a boat. That spot off to the far right is the inside of the boat. As for how I make maps, most of the time, I just plan it as I go along, and if a certain room or area doesn't seem right, I'll make a few adjustments until it is. Any planning ahead of time is usually for the basic setup and the puzzles.

That aren't going to be all that difficult. I'll be using those three weapon icons (one in each of the branch maps) and a flame mask or two later on. There's also going to be a few keys (axe key, ruby key, steel key). None of those "one fiftieth of the puzzle has been solved" types.
