Replacing all occurences of a texture in a map

Is there a quick and easy way to replace all occurences of a texture in a map with a different texture? You can check out some of my tests on the first map of necros at http://downloads.orcishweb.com/koraxdev ... necros.wad , it looks very good with the replacement texture for forest01, but it seems quite a waste of time to manually replace hundreds of occurences, not to mention it most probably won't be the last time.

Use Doombuilder. It has Replace feature.

Yes, I remember that doombuilder has a replace and find utility, it can search for tag numbers, line specials, textures for flats and linedefs and even specific objects and IIRC thing flags (difficulty, class selections, etc.), it's handy for this kind of things and I remember to have used it myself too .

Just did it, very nice feature. I will try to learn to work with DB, is there anything it can't do (or can't do as well) as WadAuthor? Replaced necros.wad at the link in the first post, take a quick look at the first map, while I modifed the architecture a bit at the start, the real interesting thing is how much the look & feel of the main courtyard behind the closed door upstairs changed through simply replacing a floor and a wall texture. There are those two big thingies at the back of the courtyard, with the wooden door texture on them. I have no idea what they are supposed to be - if you have no idea either, I think I'll replace them with obelisks like in the first Egypt map in Hexen II.

At first I really missed ability to make round sectors until I learnt how to use "Curve Lines" feature. Nothing else comes to mind, really. Oh yes, DB2 works slower. It doesn't affect mapmaking much, just, well,... slower.
