So how are you guys planning on depicting this place? Didn't the entire world get zapped by the masters? If not, what was the extent of the damage?
Also, what about the three orders? Are they hostile or cooperative? It might be neat to have a sort of diplomacy thing for them. They could start off neutral and various occurances might change their standing. These occurances would mostly be outside of the players control and independant of his actions, completely random even. The player might have some influence however. If the arcanum and church are on the brink of hostilities, a stray wand shot from the player which accidently roasts a holy relic might set off a war. I have no idea if this would be possible for such a game as Scattered Evil, but it would be interesting.
And one more thing. Will it be possible to rise in rank and get promoted? Could the player for instance become a bigwig in the legion and have control over the order? He could decide foreign policy, affecting diplomacy that I mentioned earlier, or have a bodygaurd wherever he goes and decide where to send armies as well as who to fight.
As I said I'm not computer savy and have no idea if such features could be pulled off. I thought it wouldn't be to difficult since twenty year old DOS games (which I still play) implemented such features using only mathmatical variables and a simple cause/effect AI.
Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to read and possibly even respond to this post.
