Didn't see this before. Well I have 2 weapons that are refusing to do what I want, but to make you all very happy I'll upload later. First I have to fix up the wad file or you wont be able to get past the seven portals. Later Ramborc will be able to upload an even newer wadfile with updated shops with NPCs.

Bah fucking wad files. Ramborc would you get the wad files sorted out for me, if I upload the latest one. I assume the only thing you'll have to do is sort out textures, the title and help pages.

RambOrc

I'm not sure what you mean. Adding entries to the wadfiles?

so... new version soon? Sweet... What are the two new weapons that are refunsing to work?

It's not new weapons that are refusing to do what I want it's 2 old weapons that are being updated for our new attribute system. I'm adding a line of code that increases the projectile damage as the players intelligence increases. Somthing like:
mo->damage = mo->damage*player->intelligence/10
So far it works on everything apart from the 'arc of death' and the 'blood thingie' mages 3rd and 4th weapons.

Maybe intelligence can reflect how many spell points can you have, how many spells you can have, if you can 'use' magic items and having other value to reflect the power of your spells. So you can play in two different ways: do you want a lot of different spells with little damage, or specialise in few but being very destructive? In a few words: Intelligence can be like Speed in combat and Willpower (for example) like Strenght in combate but all refering in magic.

Your SP (magic points, faith, rage what ever you want to call it) is already controled by your intelligence:
player->maxsp_power+=player->intelligence;
And your wisdom might be made to effect the cost of spells although I'm against it personaly which is why it currently isn't in there <!-- s:roll: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt=":roll:" title="Rolling Eyes" /><!-- s:roll: -->

Does intelligence affect ripping or A_Explode damage? As for the Arc of Death, I haven't looked at it (never needed to), but I think it has its own damage code.

Wisdom can be the power of the spells. So you can make the magic missile very powerfull if you develop wisdom, for example. So this make every spell more useful.

Ichor - No and yes I belive it does. NW - Currently Wisdom does exactly the same things as efficiency did, i.e. Mana costs.

I see no problem with that. Sorry it took awhile for me to get what you ment, I'm replying at revising for 3 science GCSEs tomorrow. 7.5% of my final grade I think. I'll do that next time I do some work on the code, I'll try to have a Alpha up by the end of this week but I wouldn't hold your breath. I'll also write a small read-me about the new features.

Thank you, and I should do well unless I have a really bad day I've been getting A* in all my practice papers. Now I think about it do different countries have different exams. Like in the UK you do SATs 3 times, GCSEs, then it gets more complex with AS, A2 BTEC first deplomas, etc at 6th form and collage if you want to. Then you can choose to got on to university to do degrees, deplomas, etc.

Well I think I did well in my exams today but I don't think I did as well in the biology exam as I wanted to. <!-- s:( --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!-- s:( --> Oh well as long as I can still do physics at 6th form I'm happy. As to getting closer to an Alpha, a little but not much. Oh and Ramborc I made a new manual (well edited the old one) and put it in PDF format. Although it looks a little odd, I was testing out a new office suite, not microsoft this time.

OpenOffice.org, right?
Thu, 20 Nov 2003 21:30:19

Wasn't difficult, it's the main competition to M$ Orifice these days. <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) --> Translating the manual into Spanish? Go on. <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

I now use even less M$ stuff I've stopped using Outlook and started using Mozilla, which has another up side in the form of IRC although it would appear that no one goes on our channel.
