My issues with this mod

Hexen was always a great game, and over all this mod is a good thing. I enjoy the RPG elements added and have encountered few problems. The occasional game crash only seems to happen when I'm chatting online at the same time, which is something I'm not surprised about that as it isn't something that's normally tested. Then there is the occasional sound problem, hearing distant things like they were a lot closer than even when right next to them, though that problem isn't too annoying but fixing it would still be nice. My main issue is the extra features of the 3.0 public beta sound very interesting but I can not download it due to the site linked to no longer hosting it. I know a beta would have a lot of bugs, and it being beta'd is probably at or near its end, but I still would like to see the new features while waiting for it to be released properly. One last minor thing, probably isn't important to mention it, I am currently using Korax 2.8 yet when I use alt tab to do things, it shows in the startbar as 'Korax v0.6'. Is it due to something not being updated between versions, or is it not supposed to happen? EDIT: Just remembered the problems of the fighter's axe not seeming to use mana even after lvl 5, and that in multiplayer the cleric is very very useless due to not being able to use any of his weapons till lvl 3.

v0.6 is the internal engine version. Regarding the 3.0 beta, there'll be an updated beta release in the near future, just check back here now and then.

I'm currently working on KMod3 and will hopefully have it released by the end of the month, maybe, or atleast a new beta for people to play and give opinions on the attribute system, I want to get it as balanced as possible. I've found these sound problems myself, and shall look into it, but as it's most likely an engine problem, there may be little I can do to resolve the issue.

The sound issues are from Doomsday.

Are they present in KMod2.x? I only seem to have noticed them in KMod3, but that could just be that I'm going crazy.

The sound issue seems to be only present on the 3.0 beta, I don't have this problem on KMOD 2.8.

I'm having it in v2.8, but as much as I hate to admit it, it is possible it is purely a problem with my computer. My computer does have a lot of weird unexplainable bugs. I'm very happy to hear that there will be a new version soon, and I look forward to playing it.

I've noticed the month has ended and not even a new beta has come out. This seems to suggest that some major bug has come up and you can hardly release anything till it's fixed, right?

I'll take full responsibility for that, I ended up having lots of things to do, I have a real life and university work to do, which comes first. Hopefully I'll have some more time soon. No date this time though.

Ah, okay. It's perfectly understandable for other things to be more important, as is clear when looking at how long between updates in the past. I live in the southern hemisphere, hence it is still the summer break for me, once university starts up in a month I'd have basically no time to play the Korax mod. Still, I suppose that'd also making waiting for the next release easier, as I'd be too busy for 12 weeks. Good luck fixing what ever problems are holding this mod back at this time.

Thanks for understanding, hopefully I can make some progress with my assembly worksheets this weekend, then I can sit down and do some serious KMod coding next week. Just don't fear, it's not dead again, just having a little nap.

Korax Arena works well for me (despite many crashes), but my problem with Korax Mod is that it always stalls my comp on exit, so I need to restart my comp. So I can't play it
