Ok, so what do we have here...let's try to make a list of what we can ever need, remember - those are only suggestions... Positive medals 1. First Frag 2. Accuracy (x3 or x4) 3. FragRate medals - Excellent, Domination, Total Domination 4. FistKill 5. Heresiarh kill CTF: 6. Flag Captured 7. Assist (bringing your flag home) 8. Defence (killing carrier of your flag) 9. Camper (?) - too much time without movement 10. FlagSpy (hiding in enemy flag area) 11. FastRetrieve (capturing enemy flag right after it got returned) Negative Medals 12. First Fragged 13. Fistkilled 14. Self-kill 15. Easy target (killed before killing anyone) 16. Scavenger (attacking the weakest) Arena/Hexen Specific Medals: 17. GasCaster (killing many by gas weapon) Now how do you prefer the graphic design to fit Hexen mood...skulls, orbs, energy patterns............

Killing someone when you have less than 10% of your health left 5. Killing someone while you're a pig 6. Never dying once Negative 1. Died the most 2. Getting killed by someone more than 7 levels below you 3. Falling off too many cliffs (but not pushed off by the repulsion) 4. Getting killed by your own reflected attack 5. Never killing anyone (not counting yourself)

Just for you to know - currently it has following prizes implemented (text messages only): - fast frags (double, triple, quadruple, multi, ultra, impossible) - fast kills (for monster killing) - number of frags before death - nu,ber of kilss before death) - accuracy. I was also thinking about adding "Battle Pig" prize(s) for fragging while in morphed state (i.e. being a pig <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) --> )

I think that Fistkill (for close range aka "punch" weapon kill) will cover the PigKill as well, but we can make 2 different medals, no problem. note that for many of the suggested we need "not too easy" coding implementation (especially camper, scavenger CTF medals). Still you somehow don't list in this thread no design style suggestion of the medals. I think Energy Orbs or Gems can look okay. Definetely not military-style medals <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> But keep suggesting. another idea can be BloodSplat-looking medals

The 4th Class

Hmm, here are a few of my own, though they may be a bit too complicated: GOOD 1: Most efficient fragger (highest kills with shortest time CTRL is pressed) 2: Most honourable (only kill opponents that are armed and facing you) 3: Post-Mortem Frag (if, just before you are killed, you launch a projectile weapon that kills another player - most likely your killer) 4: Most agile (able to JUMP OVER a projectile that's aimed at you - thus it misses you just below your feet) BAD 1: Most dishonourable (go around genociding unarmed opponents behind their backs) 2: Most cowardly (runs longest distance with least times using any weapon) 3: Most frantic (constantly pressing SHIFT) Well? <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

I'm currently going for the scroll design for the medals (representing your acievment being noticed). Already stared working on the base scroll sprite, looks good

I'm not so sure about the most frantic one, since chances are we'll all be running a whole lot.

Here is the first "award/medal" base sprite concepts - SCROLL Those were made basically from scratch, taking Witchaven spellbook texture/color as a base. I think this award design fits the Hexen theme, and easy to work with. [url:1byri06z]http://www.geocities.com/maxgenis/scroll_1.bmp [url:1byri06z]http://www.geocities.com/maxgenis/scroll_1blood.bmp Currently (unless you'll really dislike it) I plan to make the rest of the awards based on those sprites, with appropriate drawing on them. For the medal image size I took Skulltag medal size.

Yes, go ahead with it, it looks nice <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->.

Thanks, I already did more stuff, looks cool. But i'm going to see "Roccky Balboa" now, will send a link to new sprites when I get back...

Rocky Balboa? Do you think the movie is good?? I personally think it won't be very good, but you tell us, hehe! <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

I really enjoyed the movie. Me and Rocky character have alot in common. ...back to business.... This is my medal work directory zipped. See if you like some of those <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) --> [url:x9hnfwua]http://www.geocities.com/maxgenis/scrolls1.zip

Woah! You made these fast enough <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->, nice work, I like the one that depicts a first frag a lot <!-- s8) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="8)" title="Cool" /><!-- s8) --> , we could use this scroll as a base for certain spells in the RPG too (the test images made cool examples of spells <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->). I'll work on the transparent sphere sprites for the Heresiarch weapons and upload them during the weekend.

They are very good, and I have same feeeling about them as Firebrand <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) --> they look fittable for spell icons or such. Ok, but I also think that they would look better if the scroll is a bit wider.

[quote="Crimson Wizard":c0zkma46]Ok, but I also think that they would look better if the scroll is a bit wider. Maybe just the ones displayed on the HUD, I don't know, why don't make a test with both sizes? (once the code has support for them, of course) <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->.
