KA monsters

Everyone please post a list of the monsters you would want to see in KA (in game modes like Critter Hunt and Summon Contest). You don't need to list the Heresiarch which is included in "Kill the Heresiarch" nor the Ettin which is included in "Club the Pig". For the rest, just list any number of monsters in preference order, once everyone did it I'll make a synthesis. You can add any monsters here from Heretic (H), Hexen (X) and ShadowCaster (S), plus any all-new ones.

I have thought 2 new enemies myself (that wouldn't need too much frames), a flame knight and an ice knight that shoot projectiles of fire and ice like quake's knights.

The 4th Class

There are two new "monsters" (more like complete monster sprites) for Heretic in the H!Zone Expansion Pack. One was a small knight in a black cape with a hatchet, and the other was a water wierd. I can save them onto KDev if you don't have them. I think they'd be pretty cool to see. As for the original monsters: Undead Warrior (H) Disciple (H) Reiver (X)

The 4th Class

Yep, of course. I just put them in my folder.

From those descriptions, they seem quite familiar. Weren't they used in Dwarven Mines?

That's one of the 9 SP episodes on the H!Zone CD. BTW I've got an H!Zone CD lying around I don't need anymore, anyone wants it? Same goes for a Might & Magic VI full version, only trouble is it's in German.

Ichor

Heh, I bought my H!Zone CD for just under a dollar.

LOL it would cost me maybe 2 bucks to mail it to someone.

I would like it! It seems to be a CD with lots of levels for Heretic, right?

RambOrc

Yep, and some for Hexen plus a bunch of editors on it. Gonna send it soon. Oh yes, you sent me a PM some time back, people please don't send me PMs, I'll miss the notification popup because of my popup blocker, I won't get a notification e-mail because my korax-heritage.com addy is a spam trap, and that "you've got 1 new message" thingie I don't always notice. If you don't post something here in the devforum, just mail me to orc@orcishweb.com - which reminds me BTW, Ichor, did you get my mail I sent you about two days ago? Firebrand to answer your PM, it's a PCI card, but it's ISDN and you talk about broadband which I guess means either DSL or cable, right?
Wed, 23 Jun 2004 23:26:09

Firebrand

Nope, I'm confusing things a bit, but the ISDN card is useful for me, because if I own one, the price for the installation reduces a bit (which is useful when you have been saving funds for some time ), I will appreciate if you could send it please...

I might begin editing the karena.wad to add the monsters mentioned here and give a check to the monsters 4th Class uploaded.

RambOrc

ISDN: you better ask again, I think what's meant is that if you already have an ISDN connection instead of an analog phone line than installing DSL is cheaper, but it's not the actual ISDN card that you need. We've got ISDN lines for phone since 1998 here and when last year we subscribed to ADSL the router we got was for ISDN, it's a different model than for analog lines. Regarding the monsters, don't yet start with implementing since not all people stated preferences yet - once they did that, I'll make a compiled list from the favorites and submit for final approval by the team.

OK, I'll ask again and wait for everyone's posts.

The Bull-Djinn!!! I don't know about the others, but this guys is a big target, has 2 different ranged attacks and is actually the only respectable melee oponent, with his horns attack and the heavy hammer hammer. For it to be really competitive in a game like Kill the Maulotar in the Arena, it needed more damage on his projectiles, and more punch power in the hammer and horns (by punch I mean not only damamge but also the power to puch the player away).
