i downloaded the KA beta a while ago and tried all the classes and looked at their weapons. i like the new weapons for the cleric, fighter and mage (the fighter stole corvus' dragon's claw, it seems) but i was told 'you cannot use the *weapon name* whenever i tried to grab a weapon over level four. 1. what does it take to make these weapons assecible, and 2. is this gonna be the same in the next realease? i ask because the weapons i had access to were done well, fitting their game and not changing the design, and i wanted to see if the big guns, the bfg and firemace and other things, were also the same.

Currently there's no such bug at all. And, RambOrc, maybe place a sticky here for bug reports? Or even make a bug report forum category.

The version you saw is like two years old and has very little to do with the current version, which is going to be released in the near future.

is it possible you might make it possible to play the normal single player mode with the added classes and weapons? that would be cool.

It is already possible with bots, but the problem is that bots are spawned using console command which is not good. I think we need to add extra menu there. Maybe I do'll this.

The last KA beta was totally different in terms of gameplay and feeling, things like weapons and other general player attributes have changed to be more balanced and funny to play online <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->. To pick up higher ranked weapons, you need to level up, so spawn some bots and slaught them! <!-- s:evil: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_evil.gif" alt=":evil:" title="Evil or Very Mad" /><!-- s:evil: --> As for single player, it won't be possible to play the original maps with the new weapons and classes, but we are planning something very similar, which will make the game a totally new experience <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->.

oh so you CAN spawn bots in the beta.. um.. hoiw might i ask do i do that?

IIRC it's all explained in the release post I made, anyway, I'll explain it here for all of you, you can spawn bots using the console, to open the console just press the tilde key on your keyboard (the same key you would press in Quake engine), once it's down, just make something like
addbot botXYZ
X is the bots class F = Fighter; C = Cleric; M = Mage, H = Heretic Guy; D = Doom MArine; W = Witchaven
Y is the bots color (a number between 1 and 8
Z is the bots skill (1 easier/ 4 nightmare)
Be warned that bots aren't that smart in this beta, the final version improves bots in many ways already, so DON'T post bugs or problems regarding bots, also, most surely, post with crash entries will start to populate the forums, it's most surely fixed in the internal version we've got (which is near to release).
