Internal beta testing

We've got a new internal beta tester, Col.J.P. On the one hand, it's very good, OTOH not so much because we can't talk dirty shit about him behind his back anymore. <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) --> Anyway he just downloaded KA and will post his impressions here soon.

Anyway, what I just told RambOrc: Ok first impressions: The damn thing is pretty good, in Castle Sweep at least. Now the easy mode is too heavy on mana comsume in the begining, it needs to be redone. The skybox looks like you're inside a cloud painted cardboard box, I believe the moving clouds from Quake could give a better atmosphere. A XP bar could be added, its better than numbers and more easily catch by the eye! You could be able to switch it from numbers to bars in the option menu. The mouse still feels too filtered and kinda heavy but I believe that's a Vavoom issue, is it possible to turn off m_filter? Soon after I got this error: Stack trace: (.SB_DrawBackground) <- TProgs::ExecuteFuntion <- (SB_Drawer) <- SCR_Update <- Host_Frame And got kicked out of the game, it looks like an Unreal log error! I do have several screenies from the skybox in Castle Sweep but its too complicated to post them here, I'll send them to anyone who asks. <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

Actually it's implemented, if you switch from full screen mode to status bar mode (shrinking the screen size one step), there are two status bars, one shows you how far you are with EXP within the current level (when it's towards the top, you'll soon reach a new LVL), the other shows how high you're on the level scale (I think currently it's 1-10, not sure). BTW the name is EXP and not XP, the latter has been bastardized by Billyboy's suXPenis (and this time I don't mean our Billyboy here in the forums). <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!-- s:P -->
