I'm no anti-american, but the Lakota are totally in the right frame of mind. "The actions of Lakota are not intended to embarrass the United States but to simply save the lives of our people."

Ugh-oh. Do I understand this right, - does this mean they want to declare a new country formed from few US states?

Looks like it. Though if you ask me that's not their main goal. Their main goal is to get their culture back on its feet and end this abominable assimilation.

Feels a bit weird... US was most stable territorial entity in last 150 or more years I think.

LOL not even close - the continental US as you know it today is only about 90 years old.

Yeah I agree with Rambo: US was in perfect shape until around the 1910s, then they signed off their money rights to the central banks and became slaves to the corporate elite.

Well "perfect shape" is a bit of an exaggeration - the whole country was built on thieving, murdering, exploiting and destruction - the big difference between the 19th and the 20th century US is that in the latter only a few select people did this instead of the majority; but this minority still wrought more havoc than the majority before.
