Found this funny satire on hackers "for Jesus" working to increase internet's morality level. Not trying to be offensive agaisnt anyone's religion here (although I do have my strong opinion about it), but I thought this would be fun, specially because I recall something similar goign on couple years ago? (but I might be wrong...) Actually the whole site is out to criticize blind/misinformed "believers", so if you take your religion serious, don't go there! (Not kidding): http://www.landoverbaptist.org/news0201/hackers.html

Jesus will touch him before he can even touch himself!

This reminds of the story about the Templars and the Crusades, and how the Pope at the time sanctioned rape and murder of Muslim civilians in return for a portion of the profit claimed from the retaking of Jerusalem. I love the ironic message in this page: only the holier-than-thou are allowed to violate every law in the Bible in the name of God.

Well, the truth is in fact very simple - hordes of people used the religion as a tool, as a mean of control. It's my personal opinion that what bothered the most and caused more people to question all of the religion's values throughout the times was not necessarily the hipocrisy and injustices those figures of oppression caused to others, but rather the fact that God apperarently did NOTHING to stop it from happening.

Why God needs to do anything? It's a Mortal Realm and mortal ones decide how to live here. While God is awaiting souls on the other side to perform the afterlife judgement. AFAIK that's the general idea for most world religions, a pity people usually forget about it.

I'm not a Christian, but I always figured at according to the Bible, God determines all of our destinies and historical events, with or without our knowledge of his doing so. That's why religious people pray, in hopes that He will answer their prayers.

Being a programmer, I cannot resist a wish to ask a question: are those destinies dynamically changeable OR predefined without any possibility to change them? Since the second case makes most those prays senseless.
