Woah! <!-- s:shock: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt=":shock:" title="Shocked" /><!-- s:shock: --> That's really cool, does the serpent moves with the players commands or it follows a strict path? This could be a nice gameplay mode for KA! <!-- s8) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="8)" title="Cool" /><!-- s8) -->

It can move whatever ofcourse. Currently I made so that player commands Serpent to turn, but it cannot stop it (unless he dismounts). Meanwhile Serpent has its own brains and if there are no commands from player for some time, it will attack nearby enemies if any. Mounting & dismounting is done by hitting 'Use'. [quote="Firebrand":3spv0tc5]This could be a nice gameplay mode for KA! What about SE? BTW, we could use any creature for this purpose.

*erection* Though you should allow the player to stop the serpent on command, AND to control the speed - just like a real cavalry. <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) --> Heh, I can envision a stable scenario in a vast field, where a peasant tends to the chaos serpents, and lets you rent a couple for a fee. <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

Oh yes definitely good for the RPG - but also for KA, for that it basically can do everything by now. Just build a racetrack and the new game mode is all done. <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

And anyway its in public acces on youtube.

I think the racing mode could be added to the upcoming KA release, all it needs is a map and a script that knows who was first. If nobody can map, the stadium map could be used, all that needs to be done is to remove the drawings for the soccer lines from the arena floor and to add some circular markings for the racetracks. If it needs to be, it could be a human-only game mode at the beginning.

Did anyone said vehicles for KA? <!-- s8) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="8)" title="Cool" /><!-- s8) --> <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: --> OK then, Crimson Wizard, could I ask you to copy this great piece of code to KA? If it works fine and you don't want to do the racetrack, I'll build one myself <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->, I think it's going to be a great new gameplay mode for our fans. I've included an old map I made for Castle Sweep and I'll fix a couple of bugs I found in the other maps while playing DM and Team DM, I'll upload an internal build later in the week and we'll be able to test internally before any other move is done <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->.

Ok, I'll copy that code and think how to implement winner detection. Also I will work on small Domination map (see D. thread) Firebrand, if you are going to make a map for racing, think about traps - in my opinion there should be obstacles.

Firebrand

Yep, if anyone has suggestions it's the right time to make them, I'll begin work on that later today <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->.
