Received a couple more this weekend: 1 - When going into any teleporter with one character/savegame, the mod CTDs with the message: Corrupt save game- segment [104] failed alignment check I tried saving the game in a different slot and with a differnet name, now I have two save games which give this message. What does it mean and can I correct it? 2 - Was waiting outside a door while inside several Ettins and fire-spitting bats were fighting each other when the game CTD'd with the message: W_CacheLumpNum: 19186>=numlumps Have no idea what this means but I reloaded the game and returned to the same spot with no further problems.

I thought the savegame corruption bag of Doomsday was corrected in KMOD 2.2 by Janis (or was that KMOD 3?).

the savegame thing happens for me on kmod 3, i think the second time i try to save, so i think it isn't fixed there.

For the comment Ramborc made, I think the savegame problem is a possible bug in the Doomsday version we used for KMod, since SkyJake (doomsday engine author) never answered our support questions about the source, it's very feasible that the engine has this kind of problems, and since we changed our base engine, there's no point in fixing this stuff, maybe if Janis fixed it, then we could make public this version of the executable, but I think it's fixed for Kmod 3.

So my saved game(s) are beyond redemption and can be deleted? Having looked in the save directory, how do you ascertain which files belong to which save? The last save is obvious, but the others...?

I guess the only option is to check the saved games date of creation, that should give you a clue.

In the past few days have experienced several crashes with the same error message: W_CacheLumpNum: 19186>=numlumps Sometimes, on restart, I can return to the same locale in the game and it will continue normally; but on a couple of occasions every time I entered an area (in one case all I had to do was turn to face an area) the game would CTD with that message. This has happened with two different characters and on different levels, and always with the same number (19186). Other than live with it, is there something I can do about this? addendum: got message last night with number 18336
