Can I turn off view-bobbing?

Unfortunately and embarassingly enough, view-bob in first person games tends to give me motion sickness. In other versions of jdoom/heretic/hexen (including ones as old as the one that kmod is based on, I think), you can turn it off by typing "toggle view-bob-height" in the console. Though kmod doesn't list view-bob-height under listvars or respond to the toggle command. Is there anything I can do? I'd hate to let something so minor ruin my fun, and kmod sounds great.

I can have a look into it for you, but I make no promises.

When you move in the game the camera doesn't move in a perfectly straight line, it bobs up and down slightly, to give a more realistic feel. Thats view bob. On top of this you also have weapon bob which is where the weapon sways from side to side.

Simulation of player's head/eyes shaking/moving up-down, usually when walking.

It's off when you're flying with the Wings of Wrath. It guess it's possible to make an option to have that same effect all the time (without the flying part of course).

When flying, the player itself is bobbing slightly up and down (at least in the original game).

I think that only happens when you're not moving. Also, I've seen the bobbing still happen while flying in original Heretic. Probably an old bug long since fixed before Hexen was finished.

It's not really difficult to turn view bobbing off, you can even make it an option somewhere .

Maybe it wasn't a bug in Heretic but intended.

But it's been a well known side-effect of the wings of wrath since 1994.

Really? Heh, I don't remember it, view bobbing AFAIK started with Heretic and the wings of wrath.
