I was playing Carnage Galore a while back, and I ran around the first hub's maps for a while (in nightmare, mind you) looking for a third of the puzzle I could not find. Since I was using the mage, the instinct of backing up my savegame came from Kmod, but I disregarded it. Upon pressing the damned switch, I got attacked and killed, so I tapped the F9 button... yes, I do want to quicksave, well no, can't find file hex609.hxs. Fearing the worst, I ran it again, and behold, my savegame is corrupted. I find it interesting how it only happens with the mage. Just out of curiosity, has anyone else had this annoying problem with Doomsday (or, at least, the versions used in these mods)?

Sounds like a problem with doomsday, but I don't remember if this bug was fixed or not...

I think I got it. It could be a problem with quicksaving, since I can only asume that hex6**.hxs files are quicksaves and hex7**.hxs files are for quickloading.

Hmm, IIRC the number refers to the slot number you are using, so I don't think that has anything to do with it.

Well, that's true, but there are 6 slots and the first number goes from 0 to 7. Plus, I tried some stuff. I had a hexndata directory with a few savegames, without any "7", but then I entered the game, chose a quickload slot, quickloaded, exited and files with the "7" appeared. I feel somehow smart, considering I haven't done any programming, reverse engineering or hacking in quite a while.
