It forgives my English. I am not American. Kmod was a good work, liked very. But I am with one doubts. I arrived at the end of the game in the biggest difficulty, where the tricks I am incapacitated. He does not have as I to use the WARP. Exists a form to come back to the beginning of the game, with the same safe game? http://s103.photobucket.com/albums/m153 ... t=warp.jpg

I believe this was thought of a little, but it was never implemented. If you are in the hardest level, you can't warp back to the beginning.

I think what you want to do it's "warp 01", we were thinking on this some time ago, but as TheCount said, this was never implemented, there's a chance this could make it for KMod 3, but I won't assure anything.

Then he is not posible to come back for the time being certain? Well… I had a ideia, in the same way that level had placed one shopping in the end of each. In the same they could place portal to choose the phase, thus the portal choice could also appear, later that it enters in it I finish portal of the game.

[quote="Firebrand":18nbybq6]I think what you want to do it's "warp 01", we were thinking on this some time ago, but as TheCount said, this was never implemented, there's a chance this could make it for KMod 3, but I won't assure anything. Strange, I always thought it was "map map01" Or is that Vavoom only? And Mitcho, your idea seems do-able, but the trouble is that the way Hexen is set up right now, once you leave a hub (the proper term for what you call "phase" ), all information that is remembered on that hub is deleted (in other words, the maps will be returned to what they looked like before you even started them). If we were to make a massive portal level like the shop in between hubs, we would have to make it so the game engine doesn't erase all history of the previous hubs. But like I said it seems do-able, just ask Firebrand nicely and he will do anything!

map map01 works only in Vavoom, remember KMod works with Doomsday engine .

But 4th, what would be the fun of warping back to the first level with your super strong character if all the puzzles will be solved and all the monsters dead?
Thu, 10 May 2007 16:20:33

Firebrand

No, that wouldn't be the case , the game saves the state of all the maps of ONE (and only one) hub, once you get to another hub (or even cheat to change a map from another hub) all the information from the past one is deleted from memory and the map states return to be the initial ones .

[quote="TheCount":24mmajc0]But 4th, what would be the fun of warping back to the first level with your super strong character if all the puzzles will be solved and all the monsters dead? The advantage I see is to gather spare mana and items left behind when you first leave the hub. I think this is what Mitcho wanted to do in the first place, right Mitcho? @Firebrand: Then we would just have to make it so the games stores all hubs' data.

Well… I do not know if I understood well… But what I want to say… IN any difficulty of the game, of the one to use command WARP less it finishes it, when arriving in the second phase, passes for one shoping correct? In the same way that it passes for this shopping, in the same map it could open vestibules to come back the previous phase, with the monsters livings creature. As the development of the game, anger opening more vestibules (when passing of the second phase, it opens a vestibule for the first one in the Shopping map) being thus, when to pass of finishes phase of the game, to choose any vestibule, any one of the 5 phases with the alive creatures… That is possible? To make unusable command WARP. Using to advantage the topic, I discovered one bug with command WARP, when he is chosen warrior, then apos to use beserk to use command WARP, berserk he is disactivated, to put, the attributes profits with the magic he continues, thus you can leave its personage infinitely stronger…

Ah, I see what misled you, it looks like my ploy actually worked and some players believe they revisit the same shop between hubs. In reality, there are 5 different shop maps.

We appreciate the bug report. I think I understand what you want, but I have three questions. 1: Why do you want the creatures to be alive when you return to a previous phase? 2: If you return to a previous phase, must you repeat all puzzles again, or will the game remember that you already finished them? 3: Do you want to make the player be able to travel to a previous phase at any time? Or only after he finishes the phase he is in? Also, about what RambOrc said. What he means is, yes, there are 5 different shopping maps, one per each phase you finish. But they look the same, therefore many users often think they visit the same map many times.

Portuguese (Brazil) Answering the questions 1 - With kmod it would be more interesting, because I finished the game in the difficulty highest, and does not have as to come back to the beginning (with the weapons and level) to continue training Chracter 2 - game does not remember the puzzle, ja tested this in lower difficulties using the command WARP, this this great 3 - As the KMOD is a RPG using, would be interesting it to come back the phase to catch more level and money, or not to be imprisoned in it finishes phase, as I was 4 - Yes, of the one for noticing that they are different maps, could use to advantage these different maps, to place 2 vestibules, 1 to come back the previous phase and other to continue the game. perhaps after it finishes phase of the game, where the game finishes, to place another map where can be chosen one of the phases of the game, it game not to only finish that way… It understands what I want to say? That is only one suggestion... THX!
