Is there an easy way to calculate the values for arches and parallel slopes (where the distance between a ceiling slope and the floor slope above it are always the same distance from each other)?

I am afraid I do understand what do you need. If I am trying to read your question literally it sounds way too... silly, so I guess I just cannot catch what your problem actually is . Which exactly values do you mean? And why do you find calculating them uneasy?

Check the roof on the building in http://downloads.orcishweb.com/koraxdev ... lage01.wad (uploaded new version), I don't see how I can make the floor and ceiling slopes parallel to each other with a wdith of more than 1 unit. Also, I want to do both the main crossed arches as seen here: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... Arches.jpg and the simple arches on the sides as seen here: http://www.photogalaxy.com/pic/questfin ... arches.jpg but don't see how I could calculate the 3D floors and their ceiling objects so they all connect and build a curve (without lots of trial and error, that is).

First of all, there is big mess with 3dfloors on the map, if you check the log (or simply open console after level loaded) you may notices numerous messages like "Invalid 3dfloor with tag NN", which usually mean there are some 3dfloors that stuck in other 3dfloors or in floor/ceiling. I think that I could understand what was a mistake there, I took an empty map, copied basic architecture there and make roof myself, hoping it will be what you really need: http://downloads.orcishweb.com/koraxdev ... ge01_3.wad A scheme I used to calculate heights: [img:1qpo6qxn]http://downloads.orcishweb.com/koraxdev/ScatteredEvil/maps/roof.jpg[/img:1qpo6qxn] [quote="RambOrc":1qpo6qxn]Also, I want to do both the main crossed arches as seen here: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... There are other ways to make slopes, not only by the floor/ceiling things you're using. How easy to apply these methods depend on what exactly you are doing. Speaking of the cathedral's ceiling, if you really want it to be 3dfloor, that would be quite messy, but I believe that it's possible by making some calculations. If you don't need it be 3dfloor (if that ceiling is the highest ceiling on this place of map, I'd suggest you rather use Ceiling Vertex Thing. I did something similar to that cathedral on my KA "House of Asp" map; you may try to find this place on map: [img:1qpo6qxn]http://downloads.orcishweb.com/koraxdev/crimson/karena/shots/asp_unfinished_01.jpg[/img:1qpo6qxn] and check how ceiling is made in the junction of two corridors. As for making simple arches using sloped 3dfloors, it should be quite easy. First, define how much segments do you want in the arch, then - which heights should ceiling have on the points of connections (you can also do all this on paper first). When you have this, all you have to do is to calculate heights in the middle of each segment. Now, you can make like this: each 3dfloor you make for an arch segment should have ceiling height equal to starting height of this segment, and the ceiling slope thing put in the middle of 3dfloor with thing height equal to the precalculated middle height of this segment. Oh, well, to illustrate my words: [img:1qpo6qxn]http://downloads.orcishweb.com/koraxdev/ScatteredEvil/maps/arch.jpg[/img:1qpo6qxn] Ys are connections between arch sections and Ms are positions for slope things.

I see the point in the first case, you make both slope points above the top of the 3D floor. I assumed they should be inside.
