A whole new range of 2D art that could be done

Back when the Possession spell was new (about a year ago), we talked about having in-screen weapons/claws/etc. for the possessed monster. Back then, for lack of 2D artists this had to be discarded, but now with several of them I guess it might be possible to do. IMO it'd greatly enhance gameplay. These graphics could be used in all 4 Korax projects, making them extremely worthy of the work involved. They could be featured in KMOD 2.5 already this year if they'd be finished. What kind of enhancements do you mean? BTW as soon as you actually see the weapon/claw/etc. you use, that text list in the bottom left corner can be taken out.

You just answered your own question. I was on about the text and IMO without the weapons it looks abit odd. What weapons would need to be made?

Ettin: mace Centaur: shield, barbed sword Slaughtaur: same as Centaur, plus some kind of stuff for the ranged attack Dark Bishop: The 2 hands weaving the spell Afrits: I'm not sure, I think they throw those fireballs with their "hands", if it's really so then those appendixes Chaos Serpents: I'm somewhat at a loss here, if anyone has an idea just fire away Stalkers, Reivers and Wendigos: Same as for Afrits (unless they don't use their hands to throw their ranged attacks) Well there is more but the best would be to fire up the game, watch the monster what it does and how that looks from the outside, and then make drafts for the in-screen view. Yep, but how do you display them in-screen? I mean, the screen is its eyes, so you can't put teeth at the upper and lower part of the screen (though that would like rather cool, especially that at one point in the bite you wouldn't see anything from the outside world). It doesn't has any protruding snout neither AFAIR. Any ideas?

I can only think of one idea. Since they have red eyes (except the new red one, which has fiery orange eyes), you could change the screen color to a faint red or orange color (maybe less than what I used for Fire Resistance or the Curse effects) while you're possessing the Chaos Serpents.

That is a really cool idea, but it will take really much time to make, I think that it will not be included for Kmod 2.5, maybe it will be included on any other release, as it's not very sure we can make things faster (at least I'm talking for me, I don't know if Mago or Wolverine are able to make it), I'm making a big effort to be as fast as I can believe me, I have almost finished the Death Wyvern I will upload it on the weekend and start making the Herseriarch, I already got an idea of what to make for it's damage skin... If you are patient I think that everything can be done, no matter how complex it can be...

Well the thing is, it'd be cool to release something for Xmas time, i.e. in the first half of December. That means about 4-5 weeks to go. If only the damage skins can be done by that time and not the in-screen weapons for possessed monsters, then we'll release that as 2.5. If not all damage skins will be finished by the end of November, then we'll just postpone KMOD 2.5 until all planned stuff is together, and release it somewhere next year. Something new from our project would be cool this year, but quality is more important. At any rate, I'll try to put together a trailer for Scattered Evil. Better if we have both for the RavenGames Xmas Event, but if time runs out, then we'll just resort to the standard Korax' Heritage team tactics (announcing something for a deadline, then postponing it 5x). <!-- s:roll: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt=":roll:" title="Rolling Eyes" /><!-- s:roll: --> <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->
