The 4th Class

This topic asks you two questions: 1) Where have you travelled to? 2) Where would you like to travel to in the future? I guess I'll answer first. As of now I've only been to four countries: Canada, US, Hungary, and Czech Republic. Though we travelled from Hungary to Czech Republic by freight train for 6 hours through Slovakia. It was breathtaking! Oh my god, the beautiful scenery that country has. Top it off that my grandpa is from there, and it was enlighting both aesthetically and personally. As a promise to myself, I want to set foot on every continent on the earth before I turn 30. An ambitious dream, yes, but we'll see if I can pull it off. 2 down, 5 to go. I'd love to travel to Machu Pichu, the abandoned Inca city atop the mountains of Peru. And I also remember hearing that United Arab Emirates is being a new skyscraper that will be the tallest manmade building ever built when it's done. I'd gladly go to see that too.

1) Nowhere beyond state borders 2) Wherever is not very hot climate But that is simply a dream. General porblem is time and money.

You could always hunt for employment outside Russia, you know. That way all the money you'd have to save up for is just for airfare and not also having to go to hotels, etc. And as an added bonus, you're not constantly losing money because you'd have a job in the foreign country.

1) I've travelled in many places INSIDE Rio de Janeiro state (Brazil), that may not sound like much, but the state is pretty much the size of Portugal and has 3 times the number of people; Also travelled through most of north and central Portugal; Spain (very briefly); and recently I have been to Germany (Frankfurt and Hannover), mainly to attend to International Faire (where me, my bro and my father went to receive the IF Design award for this product we developed: http://www.granitato.com.br/ ). I was born in Rio so there I feel very confortable, and all my family is there, so going there is such a pleasure to the heart. Still, it's getting so freaking dangerous it's crazy, and you have to be pretty cold to conveniently avoid all poverty and enjoy yourself. Portugal has the advantage of being a pretty naiive country (specially like 5 years ago), with almost no hard crimes or specialised gangs and the sort. Spain looked very very nice, but I have been there for too few days, whishing to know more... As for Germany, I was impressed. I had the most crazy train travel from Frankfurt to Hannover HBF station, people there were really friendly (I mean REALLY), I had a great time visiting the old region, it was really a relief to take a break from Porto and check out interesting, beautiful people, and a very modern, friendly place. There was a GORGEOUS girl who helped us find a reference at 1:00 AM!!! (Literally took us there) How she didn't get scared by two desperated foreign dudes asking information late in the night, I will never know, but those are things that really touch you... 2) There are millions of places I want to go, specially in my future (hopefully) as an arhitect. Right now I really want to know more Scandinavian countries (specially Sweden for the sustainable architecture), and also Itally (almost went there this year to participate in a architecture contest, but fell short on money, as always). I WILL know Africa, more of Brazil (Amazon) and also really want to get to know Asia too, so yes, I guess I'll also have to visit pretty much all continents like you Class.

Well technically I've been to the Munich and Frankfurt airports, but they don't count. I've never been to Rio, but yes I've heard there's as a running epidemic of poverty down there. And unfortunately the Amazon is disappearing faster than ever before, much like the Canadian Shield. And let's not forget that as short as 300 years ago, the whole Eastern United States was absolutely dense forest. Now, it's just plains and urban life. Africa is a very rich continent in terms of culture and wildlife, and anybody can find really fascinating things there. Personally the top African countries on my list are Egypt, South Africa, and Senegal (where my parrot is from). It's a shame about the political mishaps there, but with the goodwill of the good people on earth, mixed with educating young girls, in about century we'll notice a huge change. Actually, I'd also like to travel to a few more Canadian cities as well. Maybe spend a good six months in Montreal, where all touring bands go. Winnipeg seems nice too, except for the all-time high crime however. And there are all kinds of natural caves along the Yukon. I don't know how good your Canadian geography is however, but here in school it's ALL we learn for the first 9 years of geography class.

I am true conservative patriot. (or maybe just lazy bastard... hehe, well, these two traits co-exist naturally in my character) Well, if I am to choose, I wish to go first to far-far eastern point of my country, to see a Pacific Ocean. Simply curious how people live there and how all things look like.
