A glorious day in DR history!

The 4th Class

Having gotten really fed up with AOL, I found FreeWebs and now Dark Realms will be hosted on there! Check out v2.0, the ten-wad upgrade from the four-wad demo, now with more graphics, more puzzles, and two new weapon designs. And, most importantly, new music.

Hey those screenshots don't look like Stonekeep any more (most of them). WTF?
I started my counter at 0: the honest way. From what I've heard, many companies start their counters at 100.
a company to whom 100 hits make a difference is in deep shit, I mean any working website with anything to offer and being known at least a little bit can do that in a day, and slightly popular sites like RavenGames do that in less than an hour (and we are still not talking about Yahoo &. co who do it in less than a second).

Alas, Dark Realms is no longer a Hexen retake on Stonekeep. I guess it's moved on. I hope you like it anyway. But hey, don't fret! Take a look at this! (Note: I started this at midnight and so it's less than a day old. It will get better. And bigger.) LOL I meant a brand new company only starting out, one that very few people would yet know.

LOL you're completely crazy. But I missed the secret room in the first corridor to get those bombs and the Dagger of Penetration.

The 4th Class

Crazy? I thought you'd like it. Yeah I'm still working on that secret room. The trouble is those loose stones that make the secret niches. If I do that, then the above and below textures are going to be offset from the rest of the main wall, making it all too easy to spot them. OTOH I could just make the whole wall a secret, and set the linedef to secret and everything inside Never On Map. LOL What until you see that other secret room on the same level, but in a different corner. It's that secret hallway parallel to the fountain of health, and has that massive 12 foot sharga in it.

I meant "crazy" as in "awesome". As for Kevin Bass, he is one of the team members on the project, so that big sharga is a kind of Easter Egg (BTW have you ever read the official strategy guide for Stonekeep? It's a great book to read if you like the game).

The 4th Class

Why would I need the strategy guide? I already finished the game! Then again, I guess maybe I am missing out on a lot of other easter eggs. Besides "Kevin Bass" (didn't remember the Sharga's name), I've also seen the scroll in the locked room in the Dwarven Clanhall. I think there's also a room in the Palace Of Shadows that mocks the whole Interplay team, but I've never found it.

LOL I got the strategy guide years after I got the game. It's a fun read because of the way he writes, it reads like a good novel, and gives a lot of info on background, enemies, items, RPG system etc I don't think you've figured out on your own (I didn't at any rate). I also got stuck in the first level of the Shadowking's tower back then (and I also didn't find out how to pay for the goods in the dwarven shop, I tried many things but not the actual way it works ).

The 4th Class

Whoa, I figured out how to do that back when I first went there, at the age of thirteen. But nowadays I just give him one of the Throg Shaman's feathers - or kill him fast enough so my Dwarven companions don't get pissed. As for the first level of the Tower, are you talking about the 4x4 grid that opens the door to the next level? If so, I got stuck on that one too. However, as you remember, I was once stuck on that level a LOT earlier, back when I never had that new patch.

Yeah but you aren't as stupid as I am... never could figure out any major puzzle in any game, the most complicated game I could solve w/o a walkthrough was Heretic II. p.s. Freewebs? Still, it's an UPGRADE, going from AOL.

[quote="RambOrc":18epnzu2]p.s. I'm not sure what you refer to with "as you remember" This is the thread I was talking about. It's near the bottom. Freewebs would be great if you Didn't have the Maximum of 7 Pages.. Then it'd be great.

If you need more pages, then just pay for that premium service. $1 a month and you'll have unlimited pages. Of course, I don't need more than that, yet. I'm satisfied with the seven I have now. Anyway, back to the original subject. Has anybody tried out the new Dark Realms version?

just did Nice job there... really freaked me out at the beginning One thing, in kmod3 it is not playable with cleric cause you die just at the beginning. With mage you can survive using the defensive spell (which i believe it is going to be removed in the following release) and si fine with the fighter. Actually i only made to the castle with the fighter cause it is fast enough, couldn't make it with the mage wihtout the defensive spell (okay, that i am quite lame could be the matter) Otherwise, awesome
