Fixed in 1.2 with audio engine change.
After talking to the driver in Thystes to travel by coach to Ocadia, the conversation ended, the new map was loaded and the game crashed with an error message (see debug output below). Upon reloading a savegame created before talking to the driver and buying a passage again, the travel worked normally.
