Template alone is alright, doesn't really impress me that much though. Why? You plan on replacing the current template with the one the link uses?

Pretty neat!

The point is, it's a WordPress template, and I checked WordPress and it can be used for static pages too, not just blogs/news. Meaning it could be configured pretty fast and then allow several people to add/edit the Heretic and Hexen content without having to know anything about HTML or having webmaster access to the site. Same thing goes BTW for the Korax' Heritage blog, I'll check with FB but I think we could simply use that as base for the whole website, adding current content as static pages.

So it uses SSI scripting or something similar?

You mean - it is for blogs? Nice one.

We could use it as a base for the new site layout, if you give me enough instructions I can make it a template, then you can install SohoLaunch to make the new content faster and easier for us <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->.

No no, Wordpress would be the engine instead of SohoLaunch (which isn't much worth at this provider who strips all advanced features out of it and asks an exorbitant price to put them back in), meaning it's only installing Wordpress in the root of the account with Fantastico, uploading the template and then the content can be added.

OK, it's clear for me now, I'll manage the installation on the root and install the them on Wordpress, when it's done I'll update here and then we can talk about the rest <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->.

OK then, it's done! I have created you (Ramborc) an username, you can log in to the site and make any changes you want <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->. I've sent you the username details via PM.

Anybody who has some time/interest, post here so you can get author access. The old RavenGames info stuff needs to be added, who is up to this task? It's not very complicated but time-consuming.

If you want, I can give a hand with a part of the information, maybe the bestiary and something else (for now), until I find more free time to keep helping <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->.

Basically it's just copy+pasting the original HTML code from the pages plus manually uploading all images (the long part). I'll upload a backup of the old RGN files and post the link here when done.

I see you've picked up the work on transferring all that info to the new heretichexen site, keep up the good work it's a lot of hassle but once it's done it's done for the looong run (5-10 years easily).

Yep, I took a weekend to transfer stuff from my computer, I'll give myself some time from this weekend on to keep updating every weekend until most of the things are done <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->. BTW, anyone else is welcome to help with this if you want, ask Ramborc or me for the files and we'll upload them somewhere and give some more details on what to do <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->.
