Problem installing Kmod

Hey, i'm a lousy newbie with it?s typical question. I'm having trouble installing the kmod28 (didn't tried yet the .3). Did how the manual indicates but when i execute the kmd3d it throws an error ?DirectX fial init? or something like that. Which version of DirectX are you using? Also, consider upgrading your video drivers to the newest ones.

Try giving KMOGL.bat a shot. Who knows, your card might have a personal hate for one API. Don't forget to identify your video card for us! Some of us may have a better understanding of the problem that way. Inspeaking of new drivers, it was sure tough to find 3dfx banshee ones on the net these days, spent 2 hours looking for them today.

You should try Kmod3, it might work better.. Not to mention it fixes several bugs from Kmod 2.8.

Hey, thanks for the answer guys! Luckily i already fixed it, i just needed to update my directx drivers. AMAZING!!! i couldn't believe how good it just looked everything... bad it makes my machine a bit slow, but i might as well fix it lowering the resolution. Playing i had trouble using the multiplayer... gonna look for some faq about this. Again, thank you <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

I been reading post about it... you had really got problems there... But it works right? i should be able to do it through the internet with tcp/ip and for starting the game i should wait for the players to enter the limbo mode... A question, which port should i define? or where i should look to see the port the game will use?? And no, i'm not asking when it is coming a new update of the kmod <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!-- s:P -->
