I just downloaded it, and would like to know if there is documentation.
also, i would luke to give some constructive criticism reguarding weapons and certain characters.
Warrior: a well balanced arsenal.
Mage: Not as good as it could:
One Thing that kind of made me mad is that the priest cast the fireball
spell, and the mage didn't. for a magic user, fireballs are the meatballs to spaghetti. Also, there are WAY too many wands, although they're all pretty.
1.) wands: each wand will change color with increase in level, and the latter replaced.
yellow: fine
blue: fine
red: it should be one shot, as fast as the mage, but stronger, inbetween gray and blue
gray: fine.
as for spells: 2 key is level one spells, and 3 is level two.
for 2:
ice shards: fine as is
Magic missile: the ethereal crossbow bolt from heretic. takes blue mana
and fires like the ice shard, only their is one, and can kill a ettin in one strike or so. uses 2x as much mana than the ice shard. uses arc animation, only recolored darker. and
Poison cloud: pretty much like the one on korax arena, but the mage uses it now, with a modified ice shard hand. say a different colored stone?
3:
Arc: fine as is
Greater magic missile: the green kind. uses a recolored green arch. 2x as strong as first.
fire ball: firesa fire ball, theres stuff in heretic, as well as daggerfall and arena graphics or other games which can be used for the fireball. for the hand, just use a recolored ice shard hand.
Priest: WOW HE GOT RAPED. he only has four weapons, and they dont even fit his persona.
1 key:
normal mace: upgraded with blue mana strike first, then upgrades to
ball and chain, which can use blue mana at first, then green.
either or.
2 key:
Fire thing: will be moved down and made less powerful.
poison thing: same as in arena
3. snake thing: uses one or 2 health and some green mana to shoot a
strong green beam, like the grey wand, which has poison damage.
at a closer range, the beam sucks the life away from the target at a
very fast rate, like a chainsaw. only it gives you health.
Convert monster: can convert any non boss monster to the player's "side"
uses a recolored dark blue fire thing. lasts 30 seconds.
4. no change needed.
thats is for that.
now:
i suggest the ranger: (witchaven guy exept for all the magic)
he will have: dagger (1) shortsword (upgrade), enchanted bow/uninchanted bow (2), longsword/ uninchanted longsword(3),
super heretic crossbow (4).
thats it for me. please consider this stuff for the future, near or far please.
and keep up the good work on your excellent hexen mods! i eagerly await the next version!
