Inequity between characters

I know this isn't how we are supposed to play, but I'm a troublemaker. Out of curiosity, I tried the game with each character but instead of finishing the game, once I reached Korax I would "warp 01" and restart the game with the existing character. I found the fighter wil keep getting stronger and stronger (three punches to kill a Heresiarch currently), the mage can keep improving his efficiency (will he ever get to the point where the Wraithverge uses no mana?), but the cleric stalls out with stats at 60/40/20. No metter how many skill points the cleric accumulates, they can't be assigned to anything once he's reached that level.

That's by design, each character has some of their attributes limited at a certain point. In the case of the mage and the fighter, one of the attributes is open upwards, in the case of the cleric all attributes have a max value so the player is forced to put points into at least two of them by the end of the game.

BTW, I obviously didn't mean the Wraithverge; I've forgotten what the mage's fourth weapon is as I seldom use it (its "homing" design is very poor and seldom hits what it's aimed at, I waste too much mana with it).

That's how it's supposed to work, it's meant to be used with good aiming, not to be just shoot randomly and expect to hit everything <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/orc9.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->. And it's called bloodscourge <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/orc2.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->.

Or maybe you just suck, I recall running around with it and just firing wild and hitting the bosses all the time. <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/orc4.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!-- s:P -->

If one has the mana to spare, can spam it all around, especially in tight places to frag everyone.

As if anybody would still play Hexen deathmatch these days.

That's why I like the cleric. Wraithverge is the only weapon that can fire around corners, up (or down) shafts, etc. As long as you have enough mana (buy those Kraters!) you can stay in relative security and massacre your enemies.

Plus that cheap-ass heal spell, makes you godlike. With the cleric I've been able to get out of real bad situations where i would have died with another class.. I just gotta spam click that right mousebutton >.<
