Some concept art here. Hope will be useful. I remember RambOrc said we need to rebuild 'Dark Crucible'. So.. The 4th Class

Hey great sketches. My favourite one is the outside view of the citadel, and with Vavoom features it might just be possible. BTW I'd recommend you revise the front view of the throne - it looks a lot like a vulva to me. <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!-- s:P -->

The dome can also be built in the engine as 3D slopes, it shouldn't be too much trouble if we are satisfied with a relatively crude form.

Concept for weapon sprites of some 'Poison' or 'Hypnotize' weapon. I had this idea when was working on my mod, but even then I knew that I won't be able to do this alone, since it needs sprites drawing. Idea is about Undead creatures. Remember poor puny dead-men scattered all over Hexen maps - chained... pierced by a spear... Now imaging walking around, coming close to such harmless piece of decor... and suddenly... BOOOO! You know, that reminds me of an idea I once had for my MOD. There'd be this monster (I called him an "Asik") who behaves like a stalker, only he swims on the ceiling. And then there'd me this weapon the player has to get, a really long javelin-like thing called an "Asik Killer." (thus it's a melee weapon that doesn't require ammo) If you whack the asik with the asik killer just once, it will collapse to the floor and die. The asik is invulnerable to every other weapon. I also had another idea for an ultra powerful weapon called the "God Angerer," which created a massive earthquake that damaged everything within a 1024 unit radius (including the player if you use it too long). It treats ammo like the Heretic's phoenix rod on tome of power, only you can prolong the earthquake as long as you want. (Unlike the phoenix rod, where there's a maximum 10 second duration). And another idea I once had for a monster: a knight in full-plate armour, HP probably around 1000. It's very slow walking, but has a viciously powerful double-bladed weapon: one blade is a jagged sword, and the other is a long razor-sharp hook curving over its tip. Anyway, when damaged, it behaves like the centaur as it uses its shield to defend itself, only this knight can still move and attack while using the shield. What do you think about all these ideas?

Another thing: on the back cover of the Cannibal Corpse album Gallery of Suicide is a really cool sinister-looking cathedral that could serve as an inspiring base for a massive fortress level. Hey, would it be at all possible if we create a monster that can only be damaged from behind? <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) --> I can't explain it any clearer than this: there are 8 main sprite directions, right? Let's assume the player is facing North. The monster must also be facing either North, Northwest, or Northeast for the damage to be done. If he's facing any other direction and the player attacks him, no harm is done. Is this possible? <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

I guess it's possible. The centaur already has something similar. Any attacks from the front while that shield is up are reflected, while everything else will won't. He still won't be hurt though.
