Alright, let's see if I remember correctly:
Moose, to make a new IWAD of the mod sprites, do this:
1- Make the new.wad and left it opened.
2- Open hexen.wad, select the respective sprites you want to replace, copy them.
3- In the new.wad window, paste the files.
4- "Select" sprites from the list, and highlight the file you want to replace.
5- Go to "Edit" and choose Load entry from File. Leave the custom name, then find the respective file to replace it.
That will change the existing file from the new one automaticly. You just have to do the sme to all others.
Sprite Editing: here's a more detailed list of what to do to change the colors in a Sprtie
1- Select the file in the wad and edit it.
2- Select the area you want to work with (if it's the whole monster, for xample, select the outer area and then Invert the selection).
3- Change the color of the sprite to 16 million, otherwise the picture will all be painted, and not just the selected area (at least that's what happens to me).
4- In Colors, select Colorize, and then find the Hue you want (red, blue, etc) and the Saturization needed (higher: brighter color). You can also play with the many tools from the Adjust sections, like Gamma correction, High tone/midtone/shadows, or Blue/red/green, etc. But I only used the Colorize to make the wendigos, and it was trouble enough.
PS: This instructions are aimed to Paint Shop Pro 4, the program I use (it came for free with my modem cd drivers ).
Now anyone can do the editing from them selves. It isn't hard, just time and work demainding.
Any doubts, post here.
