OK, I got your adress, and from here to Zurich it?s about a 2 hour flight(sounds reasonable...) But only if I can get the Athlon with the Ge3 and the 21"F500Sony...it?s my kind of hardware...!!!! When can I drop in? I?m ready...

Sir Billiam

I could have up to 4 players on the computers in my IPX network, although one of them has a terrible habit of freezing in netplay, so I just stick to the other 3. *Sigh*, my name would be feared if anyone faught me in Hexen... But my friends around here still are up to fighting me, even though they lose, since I'm by far mor experienced and dedicated in the Serpent Rider Series. I would go to MAGgot's server, but for some reason I get the message: NET_SENDPACKETERROR: 10013. I have siege installed, and I type Gamesiege at the end of the IP entry, so what the **** is Going on HERE!

Sir Billiam

But I guess at this point I'm UNSPEAKABLY Desperate for a match with Dark Mage or JP (Or Both), so What the heck Let's give it a shot just to get these Urges out of my system. What's your IP and what time will you be up?

Billy, get a waving thingie and we?ll get in touch, will you? It?s a lot easier for all of us... Besides I dont have any problem hosting a game for you... We just need to coordinate things...days and hours. It is a 5 hour delay between you and me so keep that in mind, get a waving thingie and we'll get together this weekend,OK? But be warn that in jHexen the lag is terrible! See ya...

Ichor

I should know. I remember last weekend when we tried this. At first it was nice, although I did have some lag, but after that third person showed up (along with all those monsters), it became simply intolerable. So I suggest playing on a fairly small map with no monsters and two people. There will still be lag, but it should be cut down to a reasonable amount.

Sir Billiam

JP, Dark Mage, when are you having that deathmatch? I don't have a waving thing, But I'll search for you AS LONG AS IT TAKES. Just Give me the specified (eastern) time you're starting and the IP and I'll try to get there. I just wanna have some decent competition, unlike the pushovers I have to hold back on to pass the time

Dark Mage

hehe. You sound alone and desperate Billy Boy. If you read the last post in the "Save Game" thread I made (which is being overtaken now bye Col.J.P. and Ramborcs little dwarfs) I stated that I am NOT playing Hexen anymore by IP. The people who join get horrible lag and it just messes the game up. But if you don't mind the lag then I can gie you a game. And plz stop whinning in your posts. Whinning is MY specialty cuz alot of you like overtaking my threads! P.S. Joiners get bad lag by IP so it's best to stick to LAN.

Well if anyone's dropping by at Zurich in the next time, we've got 5 computers in the house in a network, though only 3 can be used at the same time for playing as there aren't more monitors, I hooked up 2 comps on each of my SONYs. If you want to play old DOS games, you can bring a monitor to have a 4th computer available (it's a 133 MHz Pentium MMX), but the 5th is AFAIK not compatible with the rest for gaming (it's an Apple G3 PowerMac ). But already a 3-persons LAN game can assemble a full party in Hexen, or make 3 team leaders for 3 groups in a UT team game...

Col.J.P.

That is something I don?t understand, Ichor... It worked with you (not fine, but it worked...) It?s not working with Dark Mage or Nosferax...the lag is terrible. Maybe it?s a ISP thing or traffic issues, dunno...

Hey! Stop bumping threads from old dates, besides the LAN game has already been done, I'm locking this topic right now...

paganraven: WTF do you care for cleanup and similar shit? You don't like it, you don't read it. Firebrand: I'm not going to let this forum go the same way RavenForums did... jerking, cuss words and even practical jokes are OK, censorship, thread locking, post deletion and similar control freak shit OTOH is definitely not OK. I'm not talking about you, I mean it generally so don't panick. p.s. Billyboy, why don't you just give me an e-mail addy of yours that works, I'll set your old Sir Billiam account to that one, at that point you can just go to the "forgot my password" thingie and reset the pw and use your old account. Just a suggestion.

Sorry , I woke up a bit grouch today... I promise it won't happen again, and paganraven, I want to apologize with you for what I said before, as I already said, I woke up in a bad mood today and I made things a bit drastically here...

Hey take it easy, it's OK the way you reacted, what I angle for is the culture, I want this place to be one for real people who can act free, i.e. some verbal slashing at Billyboy for bumping old stuff is IMO fine, OTOH I don't want even the faintest whiff of corporate/military/whatever culture here, no need to discipline anyone or similar. Hope it's clear what I mean.

on ravenforums i'm a grouch every day because of course, handling a popular community of a new console game is always hard as almost everyone's retarded with computers and the internet

Bah I don't even care about the name Sir Billiam. PaganRaven sounds cooler and will do just fine. Saying the F word at me hurts my feelings more than locking the topic does ='(
