Base Types?

Hmmm... What weapons will the fighter be able to choose from and how will they be shown in-game? Also will some be found or bought enchanted, (ex.D&D's +5 Two Handed Claymore) and in what way enchanted? Don't worry I'm almost done. I hope that Katanas(not to be confused with ninja-to's!) and Naginatas(!) will be a good idea! I'm full of questions, though you guys have undoubtedly seen more!

Well the base types are mostly what you see in Hexen too: sword, axe, hammer, mace... there might also be some other types like morning star, unable to say yet for sure. Every base type will have many different versions, differring in speed, strength etc. Some are found enchanted, some can be enchanted by a Mage or whatever. Enchantments are powered by mana, if you haven't got enough mana the weapon will function just as if it wouldn't be enchanted. Weapons you can find, buy, take away from dead foes, earn for completing a quest etc. As for the in-screen look of weapons, don't get your hopes too high... a sword will always look the same, maybe color and/or magical effects will be different. But despite the looks different swords will do different damage. Regarding more questions, just bring them on.

What about a Katana/Naginata? I think that would be g-r-eat. And would a "Class Change" be in SE based on deeds and quests for NPC's? Will there BE quests from NPC's?(ex.You have retrieved the farmers only son!gain X alignment points up!You have slaughtered the farmer and killed his son X alignment points down! You have reached X level for this you may choose a new class! for having X good alignment you may be a Paladin!) I hope you got all that.

Katana/Nagitana: I guess there are swords, but I'm not sure - this says all about how far they are considered into the game. Class change: I'm not sure what you mean? We'll work with the same 3 classes Hexen had, just give them a lot more distinct abilities. NPCs and quests: of course. You'll get EXP for quests and through EXP you get up to higher levels.

On the Katana Naginata. Naginata was actually a Double bladed Spear (Remember the awful Ep.1*shudder*Anakin and Jar Jar* with Darth Maul and his Light saber Staff? that's what it would kinda look like but more accurate picture would be the Naginata that Yautja use) [img:3arw8zw7]http://www.bajutsu.com/historique/equi-militaire/historique-naginata.jpg[/img:3arw8zw7] Class Change:Good, accomplishes asically the same thing with alot more distinct abilities and you don't run the risk of running into tons of glitches (ex. Mage turns into a Barbarian Giant Class) and no need to waste time with new class skins. NPC and Quests: Good deal!

Oh, Star Wars Episode One... the Video CD was given to me by the domestic animal to watch and was lying on my desk for half a year after which I realized I won't watch it in the next couple of half-years neither so I gave it back to him. Last time I saw a movie was about '97 I think. As for implementing these swordies into the game, it's all a question of artist capacity (meaning if you make the frames they'll be most probably in, else most probably not as our 2D artists have already too much to do).
